This is the ESP WROOM 32 MCU Module, a versatile WiFi-BT-BLE MCU designed for a broad range of applications, from low-power sensor networks to high-demand tasks like voice encoding, music streaming, and MP3 decoding.
At the heart of this module is the ESP32S chip, known for its scalability and adaptability. It features 2 CPU cores, which can be controlled or powered individually. The clock frequency is adjustable, ranging from 80 MHz to 240 MHz. For energy-saving applications, the CPU can be powered off while the low-power coprocessor continuously monitors peripherals, responding to threshold changes.
The ESP32S integrates numerous peripherals, including capacitive touch sensors, Hall sensors, low-noise sense amplifiers, SD card interface, Ethernet, high-speed SDIO/SPI, UART, and I²C. With Bluetooth, users can connect their phones or broadcast low-energy beacons for detection. The use of Wi-Fi enables long-range connectivity and direct internet access via a router.
Perfect for wearable and battery-powered electronics, the ESP32 consumes less than 5µA of power. It also supports data rates up to 150 Mbps and has an output power of 22 dBm at the PA for extended physical range.
